Scion establishes formal dealership in Egypt for consumer and commercial business markets.
Scion Technology, pioneers in the development of active ‘balun’ technology and a global leader in design and manufacture of products for managed
distribution of video media over CAT5/5e/6 cable, today announced the appointment of Digital-Com of Cairo as its distributor for the Egypt markets.
The appointment follows a successful period of trading in the region that has established the Scion brand in a wide range of market sectors, expanding
the companies export sales in established and emerging markets, stated Andy Brown, managing director.
Mr Brown added”the directors and shareholders of Scion Technology, who pioneered the development of active ‘balun’ technology more than 15 years
ago, continue to expand the products and markets for digital signage, corporate audio visual and consumer applications.

The 29th Hotel Suppliers Expo HACE 2009 was held at the International Conference Centre, Cairo in November and was attended by Mark Brown,
Scion Technology & Communications Export sales and marketing director in support of Scion’s new commercial partner company
Advanced Communications db.

Hoteliers and IT integrators from Egypt and neighbouring countries visiting the show were able to see first hand presentations of the Scion Hotel Digital
Signage and information systems hosted by Advanced Communications db.

This year held in Melbourne at the convention centre conveniently located next to the Casino where many a night was spent.
Matchmaster always hold a great show and presence at CEDIA and this year was no exception with many new products on display from Terra, Visiosat,
Johanson and of course Scion. Scion showcased the new range of HDMI and component products for HD distribution over CAT5e/6 cable, also on display
was the new directional sound panel which gained a great deal of interest and became a play thing for one of Matchmaster’s New Zealand representatives.
No names mentioned but am sure you can pick him out of one of the photo’s. Mark Brown, director of sales and marketing at Scion wishes to thank all
those staff at Matchmaster who put the show together and for the usual great hospitality shown during the show and the subsequent tour round the cities
doing presentations set up by the branch managers in Sydney, Brisbane and Perth, especially the Brisbane boy’s, always a pleasure to visit and work for.
